  • Washington Stonehenge

    Overlooking the Columbia River and the town of Maryhill, Washington, is a replica Stonehenge.

    It was built by a man named Hill after he was mistakenly informed that the original Stonehenge had been used as a sacrificial site. He then made this reproduction as a reminder  that “humanity is still being sacrificed to the god of war.

  • The Fremont Troll

    The Fremont troll has been lurking under the north end of the Aurora bridge since 1990. He was sculpted by four Seattle area artists — Steve Badanes, Will Martin, Donna Walter and Ross Whitehead — for the Fremont Arts Council. The head-and-shoulders sculpture is 18-ft. tall.
