Rodent Population In Deep Shit

All over Washington the rodent population has been declining and is feared to be in “deep shit” according to Mousey Fields chief inspector for the Save The Rodents Foundation (STRF). Fields goes on to tell us “with the increase in the canine population and the move to processed dog food, rodents just do not have a chance”. While canine excrement may look, smell and taste appalling to us bi-peds, the rodent population has survived on this stuff for millions of years. “This little guy just did not have a chance.

He was found only feet away from this tempting pile of poo. Once he spied this feast, it was all over for him.”

Processed dog food today contains anti-rodent additives that literally make the internal organs of the mice explode within minutes of ingestion. The practice of using these additives have already been banned in Europe and Japan. Mousey is introducing legislation here in the United States in early 2112 to ban these additives here also.

Mousey Fields asks that we all do our part and stop feeding our pets processed food and get back to feeding them table scraps. If you must feed your animal processed food, please think of the rodent population and scoop your dogs poop. Walkers and joggers will tank you as well.

Lita Ford and Queensryche

I got a call from my friend Layne last week and he had some passes to go see Lita Ford and Queensryche in Spokane. An hour latter we were on the road to see the show. After a little episode with failed air shocks, and car swapping, we were on our way again.

It was a good time. Thanks Layne.

Stopped Smoking – Again

I once again have stopped smoking. I sure feel like I am getting better at quiting all the time. Unfortunately it seems like I have been good at starting again too. Well this time will be different!

I found these on my computer and thought I would post them here.

The benefits of stopping smoking include:

After 20 minutes

Blood pressure and pulse are normalized, blood circulation increases.

After 8 hours

The level of carbon monoxide in the blood falls.

After 48 hours

Carbon monoxide from smoke and nicotine have disappeared completely.

After 2-3 days

Less or no phlegm in the throat, fewer breathing difficulties.

After 5-7 days

Your senses of taste and smell will improve, your breath is fresher, your teeth are cleaner and your energy levels higher.

After 2-3 weeks

Physical withdrawal symptoms will stop, and you can now go several hours without thinking about smoking. Your risk of blood clots (thrombosis ) is reduced.

Why Are We Not All Just Americans

I am having a problem keeping up with all the politically correct labels that people want to put on themselves and I think this has reached the point of insanity. I think for me to be determining the country of origin for every person I meet is unreasonable and actually kind of racist in it self. This all got started for me with the whole African-American thing.

Isn’t the term African-American a little wrong anyways? I mean if your are an American, why does the African part get to go first? We don’t refer to people as Short Americans or Fat Americans. There are rules for displaying the flag which state “No such flag or pennant may be placed above the flag of the United States or to the right of the flag of the United States…“. Why shouldn’t the same hold true for some ones ancestorial roots, or denounced country of origin. That should not get top billing.

We are just getting started here….

Now I have flipped through many National Geographic magazines, as a kid, and I think that I can reasonably assume these are Africans. But the last time I was downtown city in the United States, I did not see anything like this.

Here is the other problem, look at these Africans. Are they Americans? Who knows, but no one who meets one of them on the street is going to refer to them as African-Americans. Just because they are from the South why are they not entitled to the same African-American status. This just seems wrong to me.

Now using this logic, shouldn’t I be offended when someone refers to me as that fat white guy? Should I expect them to refer to me as that Fat-Irish-German-English-Canadian American?

The other people I worry about are the Jamaicans. Without some form of training, I personally can not tell someone who has 3rd generation Jamaican blood from someone who has African Blood or even someone who has Aboriginal blood lines. If I were a Jamaican, I don’t think I would appreciate automatically being tagged with the African label.

This is not really about any specific racial bias here, even though it may sound like it, this is just what set me off. You may all be assured that I am equally ill-equipped to tell someone with 3rd generation German blood from someone with 3rd generation Irish blood. Once their accent’s are gone, it’s all a crap shoot for me.

This is all probably a mute point since in another few generations since there will be just one race and everyone will be gray. I wonder what we will be complaining about then?

People crossing in the middle of the road

Ok, lets start the tub discussions off with a recent one.

Has anyone else noticed that nobody can use a crosswalk anymore. I can not count the times that people are just hanging out in the middle of a 5 lane road. I even saw a couple of guys get violent at a driver for not slowing down for them. Now if they were in a crosswalk I can understand this but they were walking, very slowly, across a 5 lane road.

I think we should introduce the Death Race 2000 rules and these morons just help you accumulate points.

I used to think these were all young gang banger want-to-be’s but lately its everyone. (Even some old guy in a scooter/wheelchair).

So I say fuck’em lets get some points.

Things Are Changing Around Here

As some of you have noticed lately, the general direction of this blog has changed over the last few months. I originally started this blog to keep in touch with fellow bikers, meet new people and organize our rides. I have put a lot of time and effort into this over the last 3 years but have come to the conclusion that nobody really cares. This is not a new discovery but one that has been brewing for the last 2 years.

Don’t take any of this wrong, I am not complaining, pointing any fingers or anything like that, but it simply is just the way it is and I accept that fully.

So….. here is the new plan. Ride With Kirk stays but the focus of this site will change a bit.

If you want to know more, keep on reading (the good stuff about titties and ass are on the next page)….

Before you get your panties all in a bunch, just let me say the tits, ass, dicks and pussies from the Testicle Festival will stay, they are not going anywhere. If anything you just might get more pictures than you could ever want.

This is important since for the last year, the reason most of you join up here is just to see some free T-N-A.

Instead of a site focused 100% on biker stuff and road trips, Ride With Kirk is changing to simply be a metaphor for my life’s journey. Yes, we will still be taking biker trips but I will not spend countless hours researching all possible weekend rallies and rides. I will post the rides I am going on and that is it.

The original idea of this site was to get people together to ride and meet other like minded individuals. There is a site called Meetups, that does just that. If you want to meet other bikers, go to their site and have a blast.

In the near future the menus will change a bit to reflect these changes.

So what will these changes be. You will have to wait and see but I am sure there will be more:

Off color humor
Editorials on really stupid shit that happens to us all
Photograpy
Glass Blowing
etc…
